The Peaches Purrrrse

My cat, Peaches, will do anything for attention. And today she showed off this little number that she whipped up while I was out shopping. I was really impressed by how quickly she made it...but that's to be expected. She has a few extra toes that come in handy when sewing.

I was also amazed by her ability to decipher my random pattern-making notes. I saw a purse on the Ballard Designs website and liked the shape...but the reviews were mediocre. So I went to work creating my own - something that was sturdier.

I couldn't find 1" leather straps locally (in the belt-making/leather good section of Hobby Lobby), but I did find some online. Too late, though. Peaches was a bit ahead of me.

She just wrapped the straps around four curtain grommets. Easy. She also used my new favorite interfacing, scrim-backed foam - which is what gives the bag (and straps) shape.

Because Peaches made this bag, I now I have time to get the pattern direction written up and posted! Thanks Peaches!
