Wine Pillow



Recently one of my friends posted this saying on Facebook. I knew it needed to be embroidered on a pillow!

I searched and searched for the perfect embroidery design and settled on this Wine Glasses Embroidery Design from Hopscotch. I bought the beer glasses design, too!

I embroidered the design on some fabric (a drop cloth) leftover from a slipcover project and the used the mitered corner technique from Sew4Home (it is, in my opinion, the best tutorial for mitered corners). The pillow back is exactly like the front (sans embroidery design). I stuffed it with good fiber fill and sewed the bottom closed using a ladder stitch.

It looks perfect in my guest bedroom in front of the pillowcase my mom hand embroidered!
