Sassy Girl Christmas Stocking

Back in the late 1990s (when I really got into sewing), I made a bunch of these Sassy Girl stockings. This one is about 11” tall, but I made some that were about 30” tall. They were a hit with my girlfriends. I made them out of black satin, leopard fun fur, animal prints, etc. Really sassy. Then I moved and forgot about them…for about 13 years.

Last week I rediscovered this little gem while digging through old Christmas decorations! I also found my pattern – not in the best condition. I sketched out the stocking on scrap paper. It’s a little sentimental – it’s my flight itinerary from Little Rock to Detroit for Christmas!

So my goal today (other than to get some grading done), is to make another one using the same quilting technique that I did on my Star Wars Cosmetic Bag...oh, and to get the pattern pressed and uploaded to Craftsy! ALL DONE! Uploaded! Head to my Craftsy Pattern Shop to purchase...only 99 cents!
