Learning Styles? Are you a Thinker?

Maybe you are a thinker?

Last post I wrote about Creative Dreamers. Now we are on to Practical Thinkers - the Planners.

Practical Thinkers are the people who are most likely collect lots of books, patterns, and ideas with fabric all picked out...then wait. They might prefer kits because they are nice and tidy! Kolb referred to these individuals as Assimilators. They like to THINK and WATCH. When Assimilators take a class, they want lots of instruction and demonstration.

I would imagine that Assimilators are focused but might struggle when a problem comes up...and problems happen. They might even have trouble getting started because of the "what-ifs??" Their strength lies in their ability to read and dissect patterns and directions.

If you need an analytical analysis of sewing, ask an Assimilator! Want to jump-start an Assimilator? Take a class -- that forces him/her to do something.

Next...on to the Makers!
