Today's Project: Marissa's Bag

For the two fun evenings, the ladies in my studio have been stitching up their very own Marissa's Bag from Sewphisti-Cat. This handbag is really easy to make...but be warned, the pattern is really wordy and long.

We quilted our bags - so piece, quilt, and cut to size. You can see here, "T" has used her couching foot to add some embroidery floss to her pieced exterior. You'll need two of these (one for each side). It should be 9" x 15" - then you'll cut it to the correct pattern size.

Here's a final product! Love the martinis!

And here's T"'s" final purse!

And here are three of the final purses! These took from 5-6 hours to  make. The most time-consuming part was the piecing and quilting.

They go together fairly quickly. The biggest hurdle was sliding the purse frame into the purse!
